Foundation of North Texas annual meeting.

Joel Sawyer is a Charter member of the Professional Advisors Cabinet for the Community Foundation of North Texas.

On March 9, 2010, he was presented the 2010 Professional Advisor Award by last year’s recipient, John Hunter. In accepting the award, Joel remarked that many of the principles that he uses in his law practice were ingrained in him growing up on his family farm in Hillsboro, Texas. He also commented that, like working the land, wealth preservation and charitable giving require two essential tools: stewardship and conservation.
